Seven tips for writing blogs that readers will love

The content creator is arguably one of the most enjoyable and sought-after professions nowadays. Just think about it – if you’re any good, you get paid for writing about something you love and know lots about.

However, writing a great blog isn’t as easy as it can often seem. And many people struggle with writing content when they first start out. But with some advice, you can easily improve quickly. 1) Don’t just post for the sake of posting

One of the problems that a lot of bloggers face is starting to feel trapped at some point. This is totally understandable. Once your blog picks up and you grow a devoted audience, it’s easy to feel the pressure to post all the time, regardless of whether or not you have something valuable to say. All the comments and messages asking when the next post is coming don’t help either.

But it’s a losing strategy to post for the sake of posting. Keep the number of “filler” posts minimal (or, ideally, avoid them altogether). It’s better to post really great content three times a week than meh content daily. Respect your audience, and don’t waste their time on yet another rant about how annoying slow walkers or lines in a grocery store are. That’s hardly why they are reading you.

2) Stay consistent

That being said, try to remain consistent. This applies both to the type of content you’re posting and how regular it comes. Readers hate it when a content creator disappears and doesn’t post for weeks. So if you struggle with consistency, start every month with creating a schedule and try to stick to it. For example, if something major has recently happened and is all over the news, it’s okay to deviate from your blog’s regular topic to cover it. 6) Don’t be afraid to talk about yourself

How much personal information you share with your readers is entirely up to you. But it’s actually a good strategy to tell them at least a little something about yourself.
