There’s a reason the city attracted almost 40 million visitors in 2022. There’s always something to do in Vegas, whether that’s watching a show, relaxing in a luxury hotel or trying your luck at some of the world’s most famous casinos.

It’s not hard to see why some celebrities just don’t seem to be able to stay away from the city. We’re going to take a look at some of Las Vegas’ most famous tourists and see what it is they love about the entertainment capital of the world.

If you’re feeling envious, don’t worry; there are plenty of ways you can get that Las Vegas feel at home, without having to buy a plane ticket. Why not give Crazy Time Casino a try over at Jackpotjoy for the experience of a live game from the comfort of your home?

1) Ben Affleck

The star of Gone Girl is a big fan of the casinos of Las Vegas, and has a few games he loves to play more than any others. Poker is one of them, and Affleck is good at it, winning the California State Poker Championship (and a prize of $356,400) back in 2004.

However, the actor is perhaps most infamous in Las Vegas for getting banned from the Hard Rock Casino in 2014. This wasn’t due to bad behaviour, but the fact he was too good, with some reporting he won close to a million dollars playing blackjack.

He was banned from playing at the Hard Rock after suspicion of him counting cards, a practice that isn’t illegal but is frowned upon by most casinos. However, Affleck has never admitted wrongdoing, and might just have been extremely lucky!

2) Tiger Woods

One of the benefits of being one of the world’s top-earning athletes – recently revealed to be a billionaire – is you can afford to spend your time enjoying the glamour of Las Vegas without worrying about your wallet. Tiger Woods has proven this to be true, shaking off $300,000 losses at the tables without a care in the world.

The golfer reportedly loves Las Vegas, and is famous for partying with other top athletes Charles Barley and Michael Jordan. While he’s certainly made losses, he’s also been rumoured to have made million-dollar wins at the blackjack tables on multiple occasions.

In fact, he has a million-dollar limit at The Mansion, which means every hand he plays will be worth $25,000. That might be an eye-watering amount of money for you and I, but Woods is more than happy to risk it!

3) Rihanna

There’s more to Vegas than just the casinos, and Rihanna is proof of that. The ‘Umbrella’ singer has a long history of partying in the city’s many bars and nightclubs, and has had many a memorable night there.

In fact, she’s been the host for several of the nightclubs’ parties, including Pure Nightclub’s New Year’s Eve party back in 2011. Located in the famous Caesar’s Palace Hotel and Casino, the club welcomed Rihanna and had her on the mic to count down into the new year.

She’s also hosted parties there for her friends, including throwing Katy Perry her bachelorette party at venues ranging from the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club to XS nightclub. Rihanna shows how there’s more to Vegas than the casinos with her party lifestyle.

4) 50 Cent

There’s a whole world of different things to do in Las Vegas, and 50 Cent is very much not there for the casinos. Instead, the rapper prefers to spend his time watching sporting events, from basketball to boxing, and placing wagers on the outcomes.

Famously, 50 Cent put an astonishing $1.6 million dollars on Floyd Mayweather Jr to win his boxing match against Manny Pacquiao, despite the bout being extremely close on paper. This turned out to be a good use of his earnings, as Mayweather won the fight via unanimous decision.

The rapper was already in town for the bout, performing at Drai’s Nightclub in Vegas the day before. Las Vegas is a great sporting city, with events taking place there all the time, and 50 Cent shows how much fun that can be.

With so much to do in Las Vegas, it’s no surprise celebrities flock there for a good time. From poker to parties, there are all sorts of reasons to visit the city that never sleeps.
