We pick our favourite three autumn outfits from Jigsaw’s Dress Project

Looking to add to your autumn wardrobe now the days are getting chillier? We pick our favourite three looks from Jigsaw’s Dress Project.

While it may not officially begin until 22 September, it feels like the autumn season is upon us already. And what better excuse than the changing weather to add to or update your existing wardrobe, and find new pieces that will easily solve those ‘what to wear’ conundrums?

That’s why the newly launched Dress Project, by high street favourite Jigsaw, is worth a look. It focuses on four unique dress styles each with a specialist cut to suit and flatter your shape. Whether it’s a work wear staple or an after dark look you’re after, there will be a dress perfect for you.

Here I’ve picked a Salena midi flare dress, the Viola exclusive print pencil dress and the Constance, an easy after dark dress and built an outfit around each.

Outfit one – the Salena dress

The Salena dress is a feminine take on the classic shift dress if you prefer tailoring for work. Wear on its own with a statement bracelet and heeled ankle boot or for a more modish look soften the silhouette with a silk cotton polo neck jumper and team with knee high heeled boots.

Not one for wallflowers, the in-house designed print and pop of colour make this a stand out dress for a professional and polished career outfit.

If you’re not quite ready to don an overcoat then choose this wool cashmere blend poncho to pick out the soft pink tone from the dress.

Add an investment leather bag to fit all your belongings in, like the Stevie Zip top Backpack in black, and you’re good to go.

Outfit two – the Storm Contours Viola print pencil dress

The Storm Contours Viola print pencil dress is great for the office. It has a sculpted silhouette, with flattering soft V neckline and three quarter length sleeves. This is a minimalist dress style to replace your wardrobe separates of pencil skirt and blouse.

Add the Double faced wool coat in bright Pacific Blue for additional impact and accessorise with the Olsen Patent Ankle boot.

The exclusive Made Hammered Stack ring will compliment the signature hardware on the front flap of the new style Amba multi way bag; which can be worn as either a shoulder or cross body bag. Perfect for both work and play.

Outfit three – the Golden Storm Constance shift dress

If you’re looking for a modern, loose fit dress then this Golden Storm Constance shift dress is for you.

The flattering shadow grey shade compliments any skin tone and the graphic gold foil print means this silky statement dress will take you effortlessly from day to night. The easy, throw on shape also means you’ll be ready in moments for any last minute invites.

Toughen up the look with an investment leather biker jacket; I love the contemporary slim line fit and round collar on this 100% Napa leather biker jacket, which keeps the traditional biker features of quilt detailing and gun metal hardware.

Add these Pewter Hansen stitch block heel boots for an injection of disco glamour, keeping hands free with this mini cross body Wren bag or swap out the strap to wear as a wristlet style on the dance floor.
