The Mums Enterprise show finally takes off in Rickmansworth!

Need an injection of inspiration, ideas and support? Find out how the first Mums Enterprise mission got on last week, and book your tickets for the next one this Saturday!

On Thursday 9 June, in the glorious setting of Moor Park Golf Club in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire something spectacular happened: the Little Fish team played host to over 40 exhibitors at the very first ever Mums Enterprise Roadshow.

This was the launch of their work and business events aimed at mums who are ready to put their talents to use, make a change, find more flexible work, find extra sources of income or start or grow a business.

After 16 months of hard work, mums Lindsey Fish and Lucy Chaplin, finally got to see the fruits of their labour. The results surpassed all expectations with attendees, exhibitors, panelists and partners all giving rave reviews.

It seemed everyone who arrived expected another, small, local networking event. But no. When Lindsey planned the events her goal was to create a brand new portfolio bringing the depth, professionalism and comprehensive selection of workshops, exhibitors and content you would expect to see at national exhibitions.

The whole point was to take national-standard events to women in their local regions, making the content more relevant and accessible.

The events are designed to be completely family friendly too. The start time is 10am, allowing time for the school run. Mums are free to dip in and out, with the day set up to be flexible around them, and they are very welcome to bring the kids if they need to.

What did visitors think of the Mums Enterprise Roadshow?

So what did visitors at the first ever Mums Enterprise Roadshow think of the day? Here are a few reactions.

“Very professional show, great networking event, very professional.Samantha

“Amazing, inspiring and thought provoking. It’s a day that could change your life and give you new direction and motivation. Being surrounded by like minded people in a similar situation is reassuring, comforting and compelling.” Helen

“I absolutely loved it. So useful. It’s given me tons of inspiration to get cracking on what I want to achieve. Was great to speak to like-minded mums too.” Reena

“I don’t know how you did that on the price of the tickets you charged and for that amazing venue. Specifically I liked the exhibitors were all relevant to your audience. Lots of chances for people to learn about different opportunities.  Workshops which were free, amazing and some great speakers.

The timing works for mums dropping off kids from school, too. It was lovely seeing women walking around with babies/toddlers and I loved that it wasn’t a line up of speakers one after the other with everyone stuck in one room not being able to walk around and having to sit through a talk they’d rather not sit through. Your branding is phenomenal. Slick, polished, identifiable. Those handbooks. Wow.” Lucy

This is just a small selection of the incredible feedback received on the day. We too thought it was fantastic. It certainly seemed to have surpassed everyone’s expectations. There was a lovely, relaxed but inspiring atmosphere and we have no doubt the day helped change many women’s lives for the better.
