As the days draw alarmingly shorter and the temperature plunges with every rain shower, now’s the time to think about storing away your summer dresses and splashing out on a new coat for autumn and winter.
This year though, there’s no need to splurge on designer labels. Instead, we’ve scoured the high street for the very best high fashion items with our 1-5 AW trends in coats.
1) In the Pink
Yes it’s the colour of the season, so choose a masculine shape – such as this Hobbs overcoat, to offset the sugary shade.
2) Check it out
Checks and tartan were all over the catwalk for this AW. This black and white version from Autograph at M&S has a biker edge too with the leather look collar and trim detail.
3) It’s a wrap

4) In the Navy
