Yvonne Akinmodun is an independent HR consultant specialising in the property sector.
Yvonne has 20 years’ experience working as an HR manager at an operational and strategic level. She held the position of Assistant Director of Human Resources at Peabody, one of London’s largest housing associations, for three years. During this time, she was responsible for developing human resource strategies and solutions to underpin and support the rapid growth and development of the organisation in housing and care.
She has also held senior management HR appointments in the further and higher education sector, and with several commercial companies.
In 2009, inspired by a strong desire to help small businesses and charities overcome their HR challenges, Yvonne founded her own HR consultancy, Our HR Dept. Since then she’s also worked with a number of small businesses and individuals in need of HR advice and support. Her support has ranged from employment law advice, to helping with CVs and preparing candidates for interviews.
As a working parent, Yvonne is passionate about helping women boost their role in the workplace, either through CV workshops or one-to-one job coaching. Yvonne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Masters in Human Resource Management.
