Halima Khatun

Halima Khatun is a former journalist turned PR consultant.

Halima runs her own firm, HK Communications, which provides media relations and copywriting services for clients, as well as training micro-small small businesses and start ups on how to do their own PR.

Starting out in broadcast journalism, working for the BBC and ITV, Halima then moved ‘TO THE DARK SIDE’, and began a career in PR. She worked for Bell Pottinger North, a PR agency that was part of the largest PR group in the country, as well as providing PR consultancy for the UK’s leading private healthcare and social care providers respectively.

Most recently, she has led the communications and marketing function at an international NGO. Amongst these big corporates and brand names, Halima has also worked with some brilliant SMEs and start-ups, helping them build their reputation at grass-roots level.

Halima is uniquely positioned with experience in the public, private and third sector, and has worked with a range of publications in the mainstream, trade and niche media.

As well as being well-versed in PR ad communications, Halima has extensive experience with digital and social media. As a blogger, she has strong links with the digital community and is very active with social networks. Through this work Halima has worked with some new and established brands in the beauty and wellbeing industry.
