10 tips for building your business by Stella & Dot

Stuck at the starting blocks in your business? We ask Stella & Dot, one of the world’s fastest-growing companies, for 10 easy tips to help mums grow their businesses.

If anyone knows how to grow a business, it’s Stella & Dot. In 2003, Jessica Herrin became a mum for the first time and devoted nights and weekends to designing jewelry, DIY jewellery kits and a website for her new jewellery company, Luxe Jewels.

Fast forward 12 years and Luxe Jewels, now rebranded Stella & Dot, is a global phenomenon. They’ve been named one of the 500 fastest growing private companies, their jewellery is loved by celebrities and fashion editors, they’ve won design awards, been recognised for retail innovation, and they’ve expanded beyond the US to the UK and Europe.

Today Stella & Dot are passionate about democratising entrepreneurship for women – championing social selling to enable women to earn an income doing something they love on their terms. (They’re also big charitable supporters of women and children – to date they’ve donated over US$1.6 million to causes that impact their lives.)

Stella & Dot’s success is reflected in their Stylists. The company surpasses $220 million in sales worldwide, and their top earner in the US earns over US$100,000 a month.
